So inspired by today’s Calvin n Hobbes comic strip. Such an important lesson in life passed on with such simplicity..
Our happiness roots itself in our expectations-from and acceptance-of a situation.
Being realistic and modest in expectations helps you relieve undue pressure on yourself to perform too.
When I say this I don’t mean one shouldn’t be ambitious or should not expect to touch the sky… set your own limits but don’t bind your happiness to the outcome. Give yourself room and buffer… failure n second attempts are a part of life. Similarly making sure you don’t overestimate any situation, person, outcome or expectation is of utmost importance.
Stretch as high as you want but make sure your feet are firmly planted on the ground. Fly high on your successes but don’t forget to land once in a while to refuel.
Manage your expectations and you will find yourself happier in life.
